1. What HowBody is

HowBody is a platform that connects people with verified health providers and tools: a symptom checker, an AI assistant, appointment booking, online consultations, a facility directory, a blood-donor network, a medicine verification tool and a marketplace. HowBody is not a hospital, clinic or healthcare provider, and does not practise medicine. Care is delivered by the independent providers you choose.

2. Health disclaimer — please read

HowBody’s guidance, including the symptom checker and AI assistant, follows World Health Organization danger-sign criteria and is general information, not a medical diagnosis or treatment. It does not replace a qualified professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately. Never delay seeking care because of something you read in the app.

3. Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be old enough to consent in your country (at least 16), or have a parent or guardian’s consent.
• Do not misuse the service: no unlawful, harmful, fraudulent or abusive activity, and no impersonation.

4. Providers

• Providers must be genuine and pass document verification before appearing as verified. You must hold, and keep current, the licences and registrations your profession requires.
• Providers are solely responsible for the advice, services and products they offer, and for complying with the laws and professional rules that apply to them.
• We may decline, suspend or remove any provider, listing or content that fails verification, breaks these terms, or is reported and found to be harmful.

5. Payments, consultations and the marketplace

• Some services are paid, including online consultations and marketplace orders. Prices are shown before you pay.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment partners. Providers and sellers set their own fees and are responsible for delivering what you paid for.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post (for example a review or a provider’s feed update), and grant us a licence to display it within the service. Content must be truthful, lawful and respectful. We moderate reported content and may remove anything that breaks these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The HowBody name, brand, software and website are owned by the operator and protected by law. You may use the service as intended, but not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent providers, for decisions you make based on general guidance, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using HowBody at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or where necessary to protect users or comply with the law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon. Where mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country give you stronger rights, those continue to apply.
