Everything you can do with HowBody as a person looking after your health.
Create your account
- 1Download HowBody and open it.
- 2Tap Sign up, enter your name, email and a password.
- 3Accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, then tap Create account.
- 4You can also continue with Google.
Check a symptom (works offline)
- 1Open Symptom check from the home screen.
- 2Choose where it hurts and answer the short questions.
- 3Mark any danger signs that apply.
- 4Read the result: self-care, see a clinic, or emergency, with clear next steps.
Ask the AI assistant
- 1Open Ask HowBody AI.
- 2Type your question in English, French or Pidgin.
- 3Read the guidance; for anything serious it points you to real care.
- 4If it detects an emergency, it shows your local emergency number.
Verify a medicine
- 1Open Verify drug.
- 2Scan the pack’s code with the camera, or type it in.
- 3Read the verdict and the pack checks to make yourself.
Find and book care
- 1Open Facilities to see clinics near you on the map, or Discover to search providers.
- 2Open a verified profile to see services, hours and reviews.
- 3Choose Book, pick a time slot, and confirm.
- 4Turn on reminders so you are nudged before the visit.
Consult a professional online
- 1Open a verified provider who offers online consultation.
- 2Review the fee, then start a chat or call.
- 3Follow up later by messaging them directly.
Give or get blood
- 1Open Blood.
- 2Register as a donor with your blood type, or raise an urgent request.
- 3Matching donors nearby are notified by type and distance.
- 4Use the compatibility chart to understand matches.
Buy health products
- 1Open the marketplace from the Feed tab.
- 2Add genuine products to your cart and check out.
- 3Leave a review to help others.

How to join HowBody, get verified, and run your practice.
Register your practice or facility
- 1In the app, open Register facility (or register as an individual professional).
- 2Enter your details, services, hours and location.
- 3Upload the required documents (identity, licence, qualification or ownership).
- 4Submit for review.
Get verified
- 1An automated screen checks your application, then a person reviews the documents.
- 2Once approved, your verified badge and public profile go live.
- 3Keep your licences current to stay verified.
Take appointments and consultations
- 1Set your working hours, slot length and consultation fee.
- 2Confirm, reschedule or complete bookings from the dashboard.
- 3Hold online consultations by chat or call and get paid for your time.
Post to the feed
- 1From the dashboard, open Feed.
- 2Write a health update, or add an image or short video.
- 3Publish; your post carries your verified badge.
Sell in the marketplace
- 1Open the marketplace section of the dashboard.
- 2List genuine products with price and details.
- 3Fulfil orders and receive mobile-money payment.
Manage on desktop
- 1Open the HowBody desktop app and sign in.
- 2Use the dashboard for appointments, messages, posts and your facility profile.
- 3Patients use the mobile app; everything stays in sync.

Is HowBody free?
The app is free to download and use. Some services are paid, such as online consultations and marketplace orders, with the price shown before you pay.
Does it really work offline?
Yes. The symptom checker and saved facilities work with no internet. Live features like booking, consultations and the feed sync when you are back online.
How do you keep providers trustworthy?
Every provider submits documents and passes a review before appearing as verified. Anyone can report content, and our team can act across the platform.
Is my health data private?
We collect as little as possible, never sell your data, and protect it with encryption, private document storage and an optional app lock. See our Privacy Policy.
Which languages are supported?
English, French and Pidgin are fully translated, and you can choose from many more, with more translations shipping over time.
